I wanted to update the neighborhood about a site plan that was recently filed with the Plano Planning and Zoning Commission. The site plan calls for two restaurants to be built on the vacant lot located on the northeast side of Plano Parkway and Independence next to and north of the Race Trac gas station. The site plan locates a Golden Chick Restaurant north of and next to the Race Trac. There is also a proposed second location on the site plan that is east of and next to the Golden Chick Restaurant. That will probably be a Texadelphia Restaurant.

No zoning change is necessary as this proposed use is allowed by the retail zoning already in place on that corner. The site plan will be presented to the Plano Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday May 15, 2017. The site plan is available on our www.dnehoa.org website.
