ANOTHER HOME BURGLARY!!
On May 5, 2015 in the 2200 block of Grandview another home burglary occurred. According to the homeowner’s account, around 9:00 a.m. the homeowner’s back patio door was smashed. The burglar alarm was not set because the homeowner was in a rush. The neighbor next door saw a black Dodge Caliber with the hatchback up in the homeowner’s driveway with two African American men moving around and called police.
There has also been another possible home burglary that has not been directly confirmed that occurred within the last few days in the nearby vicinity on Glencliff also through the back door.
According to the PPD these burglars are coming into Plano from Dallas off of 190. They are coming into our neighborhood because it’s close to 190 and they can get away quickly. They are walking up to the front door and ringing the bell to see if someone is home and if no one answers, they are kicking in the front door and burglarizing the home. They are fast and go straight for the master bedroom looking for jewelry and cash. In the case of the home on Grandview, they broke in through the back patio door instead of the front door because the home is across from the elementary school and is in clear view.
PLEASE KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR A BLACK DODGE CALIBER!!! If you see that vehicle with people inside who match the description given…CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY!!!
