On Wednesday, Aug 24 in the 2400 block of Northcrest, 2 Hispanic males were observed looking into a resident’s windows & then going into their backyard. The vehicle they were in was a 1999 Chevrolet Black Silverado pickup, license plate # GXV-6631. Please be aware of this vehicle & call the PPD if you see it.
On the weekend of Aug 19 in the 2400 block of Westridge, there was an attempted vehicle break-in of a vehicle parked on the street in front of the resident’s home. The back windows were broken into & nothing was taken.
Also, on the weekend of Aug 19, there were many reports of paint vandalism of vehicles, homes & alleys in the 2400 -2700 blocks of Northcrest, Westridge, Grandview & streets further north as well as Liberty Recreation Center.
Please be aware of these occurrences & call the PPD immediately if you see ANY suspicious behavior or vehicles.
Also, a reminder of the PPD recommendations:
- Please turn your outside lights on at night.
- Please lock your vehicles with no valuables inside.
- Please park your vehicles in your garage if you are able.
- Please keep your garage door closed at all times if you are not in the garage.
- Please do not leave valuables in clear view day or night.
- Please check your surveillance cameras to make sure they are working properly.
